Tourism solomons is not a product oriented organization but is enacted by the Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau Act of 1996 with the objectives to encourage, promote and develop tourism in the Solomon Islands. The objectives of the Bureau shall be; • To encourage, promote and develop tourist travel; • To encourage, promote and develop adequate, efficient and attractive tourist services; • To co-ordinate activities of persons providing tourist related services in Solomon Islands; and • To assist and promote understanding amongst the local population of the benefits that accrued from the development and promotion of tourism in Solomon Islands (The Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau Act, 1996).
