Requirements

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified personnel for the role of National Export Market Systems Facilitator (National Facilitator) to join our PHAMA Plus team. Reporting to the Senior National Facilitator, the National Facilitator will implement PHAMA Plus interventions and activities in the Solomon Islands, including technical, cross-cutting and operational matters. The successful candidate will bring existing relationships, as well as the ability to develop dynamic working relationships with a range of private sector, government, and community stakeholders in complex and often challenging circumstances.

The role will develop and apply business models that deliver profitability and sustainability, as well as improved gender and social inclusion outcomes with the private sector, social enterprises, common interest groups, cooperative groups, or state-owned enterprises. The National Facilitator will have proven experience identifying business opportunities and developing successful and inclusive market development strategies in the rural/agricultural sector and be responsible for undertaking sectoral analysis, identifying high priority value chains, and associated business engagement.
